Experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator (Shop)

Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: based on experience, no cap for the right person

Volunteer Sheet Metal is a fast-growing, non-union HVAC shop looking for experienced sheet metal fabricators who can actually produce quality ductwork — not just stand around machines.

If you can read prints, lay out fittings, and move with urgency, we want to talk. If not, this isn’t the place for you.

What You’ll Do

• Fabricate rectangular, round duct, and oval fittings, and custom pieces without constant supervision
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately
• Run shop equipment (shear, brake, plasma, roll former, etc.) efficiently
• Lay out, measure, cut, and assemble ductwork to spec
• Keep production moving and hit deadlines
• Work as part of a tight, no-drama shop crew

What We Expect

• Proven HVAC sheet metal experience (this is NOT entry-level)
• Ability to read prints and build fittings correctly the first time
• Strong work ethic — show up, work hard, no excuses
• Speed and quality (we need both)
• Pride in your work — clean, accurate fabrication
• Ability to handle physical shop work (lifting, standing, etc.)

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with complex/custom ductwork
• Welding or specialty fabrication skills
• Leadership ability (we promote from within)

Located about 10 minutes south of downtown Nashville, we began operations just shy of 7 years ago and have grown rapidly, with many more years of growth to come. We are currently looking to add another person to our team!
