Job Description
Position Purpose
JLL is the property manager for one of the south east’s largest retail centres.
The building management team consists of a Centre Manager, Marketing Manager, Administration Manager, Administration assistant and Operations Manager.
To provide efficient, orderly, and reliable knowledge of property accounting principles and contribute to the efficient handling of all property finance and overseeing the financial administration of Brimbank Shopping Centre. This will include the day-to-day financial management and administration of the Centre operating budgets, outgoings, forecasting, cash flow management and all financial reporting.
Duties & responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Prepare, review and process month-end reporting where required including Variance commentaries
- Prepare, review, and analyse performance of the Centre as required e.g.- monthly, quarterly reports, reforecasting reports. Maintain efficient and tight control over the Centre's operating costs, liaise and communicate with key Centre Management Staff so that they understand the financial performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of Client financial reporting
- Assist in preparation of annual property budgets and reforecasts on a periodical basis
- Prepare Owner Remittances as per agreed timetable
- Assist the Centre Management team with queries/any finance related issues
- Liaise with external auditors for preparation of outgoings audit and adjustments.
- Remit funds to Owners as per their requirements.
- Calculation of Percentage rent for applicable tenants
- Calculation and accounting of incentives/rent abatement applicable to tenants
- Calculation and posting of Rent Smoothing and any amortisation journals (IFRS) as required
- Posting of any accounting adjustments and all accrual journals as required to ensure reporting is accurate
- Assisting in state/national compliance and audit tasks
- Any other finance/accounting tasks and reporting as required
