Finance Manager - Spain

The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations within the company, covering areas including accounting, tax filing, statutory reporting, and financial compliance.

The role requires a solid understanding of local GAAP, IFRS alignment, and statutory obligations, as well as coordination with external accounting firms, auditors, and tax authorities.

This position ensures that the company’s accounting books, financial reports, and statutory filings are maintained in a timely, compliant, and transparent manner to support business operations and regional consolidation.

The role will also assist in project financial management and FP&A activities to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with local GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate monthly and annual closings, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support preparation of statutory financial statements and audit processes.
• Coordinate with periodic tax filings (VAT, CIT, WHT) and liaise with external accounting and tax advisors.
• Ensure timely and compliant payment processes and proper documentation.
• Prepare and/or review project-related financial reports, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
• Support budget planning, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Assist in internal control implementation and finance compliance activities.
• Collaborate with group finance teams in HQ (Shanghai) on reporting, intercompany transactions, and consolidation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.
• Master’s in finance, advanced accounting, auditing or related field.
• +8-10 years of experience in accounting, tax, or financial reporting.
• Familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and strong excel skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English. Chinese is a plus.
