Job Description
DarkVision is hiring a Financial Analyst to be based out of our head office in North Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role offers broad exposure across financial operations, reporting, and strategic projects that will support DarkVision’s rapid growth.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth financial operations while contributing valuable insights to drive business growth. You must be practical, detail-oriented, and excellent with Excel, with a strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to adapt to the changing business needs of a growing tech company. Furthermore, to succeed in this role, you’ll need to be personable and a great communicator, as you will be talking with external customers as well as various internal teams.
This is an entry-level position. No experience is required to apply. Candidates with one to two years of experience will also be considered.
This role is 100% on‑site at our North Vancouver, BC HQ, where employees enjoy a wide array of amenities including a fully equipped gym, squash court, steam room, climbing wall, and more!
Our Team
You will be a key part of our growing Finance team at DarkVision.
What You Will Do
- Onboarding, Invoicing, and Accounts Receivable: Work directly with customers and internal Ops and Sales teams to ensure efficient onboarding through invoice payment. Manage and process Accounts Receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation.
- Management Reporting: Use Excel to model our financial future, working with the Director of Finance and building strong analytical foundations.
- AI Implementation: Own processes and implement AI solutions to improve speed, scalability, and accuracy, promoting an AI‑first finance culture.
- Special Projects: Participate in projects such as implementing new processes, setting up international entities, and other high‑impact initiatives.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Education: Accounting or Finance degree. No previous experience is required.
- On‑site requirement: Able to work daily from our North Vancouver office.
- Communication: Comfortable reaching out to staff across the organization and external customers, building strong relationships.
- MS Excel: Advanced skills in Pivot Tables, Macros, and advanced functions.
- Attention to detail: Organized, detail‑oriented, and enjoys keeping people and processes tidy.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Previous A/R or financial statement preparation experience.
- Experience implementing or experimenting with AI tools for accounting or finance.
- Strong general competence and a proven ability to get things done quickly, thoroughly, and effectively.
- A natural curiosity, eagerness to learn, and openness to coaching and feedback.
- A sense of humor.
General Salary Range
Anticipated salary of $50,000 to $75,000 per year.
