We are actively seeking a financial analyst to join our FP&A team. The role will take on more of a coordination focus amongst the team and is involved in many aspects of the business and liaises with the different departments while working collaboratively with the finance team to ensure the work is aligned with IAMGOLD’s values and policies. The main responsibilities are to ensure accurate and timely closure of month‑end, prepare monthly/quarterly and annual deviation analyses, prepare the annual budget and other ad‑hoc analyses and projects as required.
This position reports to the Finance Supervisor and is based out of our Lively office, Monday to Friday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the monthly close process, including timely ledger close, journal entry preparation and review, reconciliations, and variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Coordinate and suggest improvements to the monthly cost accrual process.
- Support operations maintenance teams from a cost perspective. Knowledge of maintenance costing in a large ERP system would be an asset.
- Prepare, analyze, and report monthly financial results, including variance comments.
- Partner with operational departments to investigate variances, advise on cost coding and develop effective cost allocation strategies.
- Assist with the preparation of cost reporting at various levels of the business.
- Support preparation of site budget and Life‑of‑Mine planning activities.
- Liaison with internal and external audit teams and ensure adherence to Cote policies, procedures and controls.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis, support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives, and take ownership of additional tasks as assigned.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 4 or more years of experience working in the mining industry.
Skills & Strengths, We Value
- English proficiency for written and oral communications. French is considered an asset.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, including a high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with Oracle ERP considered an asset.

Salary Range: $89,000- $133,500. The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
