Job Summary
The Finance and Administration Division of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant. This is 1 year exempt, renewable position based in New Delhi, India.
Essential Duties:
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·Timely preparation of periodic financial reports and invoices for a range of donors.
·Monitor billed and unbilled receivables for delinquent payments and billable cost.
·Monitor and analyze project spending as it relates to financial reporting
·Upload deliverables in the Enterprise Content Management system (OnBase)
·Prepare Journal entries for billing/invoicing
·Address internal and external inquiries regarding project financial matters.
·Assist with annual audit.
·Assist with Financial analysis.
·Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant professional experience in financial administration or associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant professional experience
·Experience in project-based organizations.
·Possess strong analytical skills.
·Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
·Proficiency in written and Spoken English
Preferred Qualifications:
·Preference would be given to Intermediate/pursuing CA/CS/CWA
·Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as Costpoint, Sage Intacct, Oracle, etc.Ability to work in a multicultural environment as a team player
·Knowledge of government contracting regulations in South Asian countries and US GAAP regulations
·Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demand & Work environment:
·Employee will sit in an upright position for a long period of time
·Employee will lift between 0-10 pounds.
·Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing computer terminal; extensive reading.
