Job Details
As a Permanent General Liability Defense Attorney, you will be entrusted with a multitude of responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury cases.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on their rights and obligations, ensuring they are well informed about their legal liability.
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring a thorough understanding of each case.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes, including personal injury cases, in the best interest of clients.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Confer with colleagues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
- Handle a large caseload and work under pressure.
- Maintain a high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury defense.
- Admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
- Proven track record of successfully defending clients in personal injury cases.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle a large caseload and work under pressure.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Proficiency in legal case management software.
