Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Description

Our client, a regional firm with offices in Houston, is looking for an Insurance Defense Associate.

Responsibilities

• Work on insurance coverage matters (bad faith claims) and insurance defense matters (hurricane damage docket and construction defect)
• Take depositions and argue motions in court
• Handle hearings and site inspections, and possibly take a deposition or EUO if needed
• Participate in a partner track with strong growth opportunity

Qualifications

• Top 20%–30% of law school class with some litigation experience (experience in other practice areas acceptable)
• Willingness to learn this area of law and take direction

Compensation

Salary: $130k–$140k; Bonuses: $15k–$25k annually.

Experience

2–3 years.

Billable Requirement

2000 hours a year.

Schedule

100% in office with flexibility.
