Graduate Design Engineer

Hays Engineering is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturing organisation for a Graduate Design Engineer position based in the Dungannon area. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate to join a world-class engineering team, working on innovative products used across international markets.The RoleAs a Graduate Design Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop and improve mechanical products and manufacturing processes. You will gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing and production support.Key responsibilities will include:Producing 3D CAD models and engineering drawingsAssisting with the development of manufacturing specifications and bills of materialsSupporting engineering change management processesWorking collaboratively with Production, Quality, Manufacturing and Service teamsIdentifying and resolving engineering issues using a root-cause approachContributing to product improvement and continuous improvement initiatives Supporting prototype development, testing and validation activitiesWhat You'll NeedDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline (minimum 2:2 preferred)Strong understanding of engineering principlesExperience using 3D CAD software through university projects or placementsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work effectively within a team environmentDesirableKnowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systemsExperience of Product Data Management (PDM) systemsAdvanced Excel skillsFamiliarity with Creo / Pro-Engineer or similar CAD packagesWhat's on Offer?Structured graduate development programme Mentoring from experienced engineering professionalsExposure to innovative engineering projectsExcellent career progression opportunitiesCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to join a globally recognised engineering organisation What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
