About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and result-oriented marketing leader to spearhead the national marketing function for a rapidly growing FMCG food organization.
The Head Marketing will be responsible for driving brand leadership, consumer growth, market penetration, and revenue acceleration across a diversified portfolio of biscuits, chocolates, confectionery, snacks, and allied food categories.

The incumbent will work closely with the Managing Director and cross-functional leadership teams to build scalable brands, strengthen consumer connect, enhance retail visibility, accelerate online and offline growth, and create impactful integrated marketing ecosystems across General Trade, Modern Trade, E-Commerce, and Quick Commerce channels.
This is a high-ownership leadership role for someone passionate about building iconic FMCG brands and driving sustainable business growth in highly competitive consumer markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Brand Leadership
Develop and lead the company's long-term national marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives and category expansion plans.
Build and strengthen consumer-centric brands across multiple FMCG food categories and price segments.
Drive brand positioning, architecture, differentiation, and market relevance in highly competitive retail environments.
Lead annual marketing plans, campaign calendars, consumer communication strategies, and innovation roadmaps.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, competitive intelligence, and category opportunities to accelerate business growth.
Develop integrated brand-building initiatives across traditional, retail, and digital marketing channels.
ATL Marketing & Media Management
Conceptualize and execute integrated ATL campaigns across:
Television
Radio
Outdoor
Cinema
OTT
Digital Video Platforms
Lead media planning, agency management, media buying coordination, campaign optimization, and performance tracking.
Drive measurable brand awareness, consumer recall, and market penetration through integrated communication strategies.
Manage creative and media agency relationships to maximize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
BTL, Trade & Retail Marketing
Develop and execute impactful BTL programs including:
Retail activations
In-store branding
Consumer promotions
Sampling campaigns
Van campaigns
Dealer & distributor engagement programs
Regional marketing initiatives
Partner with Sales teams to improve retail visibility, channel productivity, and market execution.
Lead POSM development, merchandising initiatives, and retail communication across:
General Trade
Modern Trade
Rural Markets
Execute festive, seasonal, and regional activation programs to improve off-take and retail conversions.
Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
Drive digital marketing initiatives to strengthen brand engagement and consumer acquisition.
Develop digital strategies covering:
Social Media Marketing
Performance Marketing
Influencer Marketing
Content Marketing
SEO/SEM
Video Marketing
Consumer Engagement Campaigns
Support business growth across:
Amazon
Flipkart
Blinkit
Zepto
Swiggy Instamart
BigBasket
D2C platforms
Modern Trade online channels
Improve digital shelf visibility, product content, ratings, reviews, promotional effectiveness, and conversion metrics.
Track and optimize key digital KPIs including ROAS, CAC, CTR, traffic, engagement, conversions, and online revenue contribution.
Creative, Packaging & Communication
Lead packaging communication, artwork approvals, visual branding, and creative consistency.
Ensure all consumer-facing communication reflects brand identity and category positioning.
Manage creative agencies for:
Advertising
Packaging
Digital creatives
Corporate communication
POSM
Retail branding
Drive continuous improvement in packaging innovation and shelf impact.
Product Launches & Innovation
Work closely with R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance for successful product launches.
Develop comprehensive GTM strategies for new products and category extensions.
Conduct consumer research and market feasibility studies.
Monitor post-launch performance and drive continuous improvement based on market feedback.
Budgeting, Analytics & Business Performance
Prepare and manage annual marketing budgets with a strong focus on ROI and profitability.
Measure campaign effectiveness through marketing analytics, sales impact, and consumer metrics.
Present performance dashboards and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop data-driven marketing frameworks for improved decision-making.
Monitor brand equity, market share, category growth, and marketing contribution to overall business performance.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
Build a performance-oriented culture with clearly defined KPIs and succession planning.
Manage relationships with:

Media partners
Digital agencies
Research agencies
Production vendors
Marketplace partners
Strategic business partners
Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, R&D, IT, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful execution of business objectives.
Educational Qualification
MBA / PGDM in Marketing from a reputed institution preferred.
Certifications in Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Consumer Analytics, or E-Commerce will be an added advantage.
Experience
12 18 years of progressive marketing experience in the FMCG Food industry, preferably within:
