Head of HR

Artis HR is supporting an exciting, fast-growing brand based in Bristol with the appointment of a Head of HR.This is a really varied senior HR role, with the opportunity to take ownership of the people function and play a key part in shaping the next stage of the business as it continues to grow.You'll work closely with the senior management team, acting as a trusted people partner while also being a visible and approachable point of contact for employees across the business.The roleThis is a broad, hands-on role covering everything from day-to-day HR and ER through to people strategy, development and culture.You'll be responsible for:Taking ownership of the HR and people function across the businessPartnering with the CEO, founders and senior leadership team on people strategyManaging complex ER matters including performance, absence, capability, disciplinaries and grievancesCoaching managers and helping them become more confident people leadersLeading recruitment, onboarding and the wider employee lifecycleDeveloping learning, development and career progression opportunitiesBuilding effective performance management and employee engagement approachesUsing people data and employee feedback to identify priorities and opportunitiesSupporting workforce planning, organisational design and changeEnsuring HR policies, processes and practices remain compliant and fit for purposeBringing the right level of structure and governance as the business grows, without creating unnecessary bureaucracyAbout youWe're looking for an experienced senior HR professional who has ideally worked within a growing, founder-led or entrepreneurial business and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.You'll ideally have:Experience at Head of HR, Head of People, Senior HR Manager, People Lead or senior HRBP levelStrong generalist HR experience across ER, recruitment, performance, engagement and developmentStrong knowledge of UK employment lawExperience independently managing complex ER casesA genuine track record of developing learning, progression and performance approachesConfidence working directly with founders, CEOs and senior leadersA practical, hands-on approach and the ability to operate both strategically and operationallyStrong commercial awareness alongside a genuine people-first mindsetThe confidence to bring structure and consistency while retaining the flexibility of a growing businessWhat's on offer?Up to 70,0003-4 days a week in the Bristol officeA senior role with genuine ownership of the people functionDirect exposure to the CEO, founders and senior leadership teamThe opportunity to shape people strategy, culture and employee experienceA varied role spanning the wider businessGenuine opportunity to grow with an expanding brandIf you're an experienced HR leader looking for a role where you can have real influence, build the people function and work closely with founders in a growing business, this could be a great opportunity.Artis HR is managing the recruitment process.
