About the role

We are a fast-growing B2B SaaS and legal-execution company building technology for lenders — banks, NBFCs, HFCs, and ARCs — to automate their collections and legal recovery workflows. As Head of Legal Operations, you will own the entire legal delivery engine: the teams that clean and structure notice data, the legal managers who drive filings and recovery workflows, and the empanelment team that onboards and manages our lawyer network. You are accountable for accuracy, turnaround, and scale across all legal operations.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end legal operations — notice data preparation, legal case management, and lawyer empanelment — as a single, accountable leader
• Lead and grow three functions: the notice data cleaning/QC team, the legal managers driving case and filing workflows, and the lawyer onboarding/empanelment team
• Build and enforce SLAs, quality standards, and TATs across notice generation, SARFAESI filings, and legal recovery processes
• Set up processes and controls to ensure accuracy of legal data — correct parties, jurisdictions, amounts, and documentation
• Scale the empanelled lawyer network across jurisdictions; own onboarding, quality, allocation, and performance management of advocates
• Partner with product and engineering to translate legal operations into platform workflows and drive automation
• Serve as the senior escalation point for clients on legal delivery matters; ensure client SLAs are consistently met
• Track and report on volumes, throughput, quality, and cost across all legal operations

What we're looking for

• 8–15 years of experience in legal operations, collections/recovery, or legal delivery — ideally within NBFCs, banks, ARCs, law firms, or legal-services companies
• Deep understanding of SARFAESI, notice processes, Section 138, DRT, and the broader debt recovery legal landscape
• Proven experience managing large teams and multiple functions with strong process and quality discipline
• Experience building and managing empanelled lawyer/vendor networks across jurisdictions
• Strong operational rigor — comfortable with data, dashboards, SLAs, and TAT-driven delivery
• Law degree (LLB) preferred; strong candidates from legal-ops or recovery-ops backgrounds without an LLB will be considered
• Based in Mumbai; willing to travel as needed
