Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to oversee and manage all human resource functions in a valve manufacturing setup. The role involves handling workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, and performance management while supporting overall plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Workforce Planning: Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant and corporate roles (operators, engineers, supervisors, staff); develop manpower planning strategies based on production requirements; coordinate with department heads to fulfill hiring needs.
- Employee & Industrial Relations: Maintain healthy employee relations across shop floor and office staff; handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution; ensure smooth communication between management and workers; manage union interactions where applicable.
- HR Operations: Oversee attendance, leave management, and payroll coordination; maintain employee records and HR documentation; implement and monitor HR policies and procedures.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws such as PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Factory Act, etc.; maintain statutory registers and records; coordinate with auditors and government authorities.
- Performance Management & Training: Implement performance appraisal systems; identify training needs and organize skill development programs; support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Health, Safety & Welfare: Promote workplace safety and ensure adherence to safety standards; coordinate with the EHS team for compliance and training; drive employee welfare activities.
- HR Strategy & Reporting: Develop HR strategies aligned with business goals; prepare HR reports and analytics for management review; monitor HR KPIs such as attrition, absenteeism, and productivity.
Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 7–12 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and factory compliance; experience in handling shop floor workforce and IR matters.
- Familiarity with HRMS and payroll systems; proficiency in MS Office.
- Preferred: Experience in valve manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial production units; exposure to ISO standards and audit processes; experience managing a large workforce in a plant setup.
