What you will do Det’on Cho Management LP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist. This role provides operational HR support across multiple DCMLP entities and serves as a key resource for managers and employees.
The HR Generalist ensures consistent delivery of HR services including recruitment coordination, employee relations support, HRIS administration, performance documentation, and policy compliance. A Day in the Life Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your job duties include: Providing day-to-day HR support to managers and employees Coordinating recruitment activities including postings, screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks Preparing employment documentation and supporting onboarding processes Maintaining accurate employee records within ADP Workforce Now Processing employment changes, terminations, and leave entries Supporting performance management documentation and probation tracking Coach and mentor junior/entry level HR team members to support team development and service consistency. Assisting with employee relations matters and escalating complex issues appropriately Supporting benefits administration and employee inquiries Assisting with payroll data accuracy and generating HR reports Ensuring consistent application of policies and compliance with employment legislation What You Bring Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of progressive HR experience Experience with ADP Workforce Now considered an asset Knowledge of NWT Employment Standards legislation preferred Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism and confidentiality Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture, and way of life considered an asset What we offer In addition to a competitive salary and a great work environment, DCMLP also offers a generous benefits package, including: Extended health, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage Employee Assistance Program Health and Wellness Program Group Life Insurance and Employee Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage.
