Role Description

The Human Resources is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support, including advising on HR policies, managing employee relations matters, and supporting leaders with people management practices. The Human Resources Advisor will assist in developing and implementing HR processes, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, and maintaining accurate HR records. The role will also involve coordinating recruitment activities, onboarding new team members, and supporting performance and development initiatives.

The advisor will work closely with leadership and team members to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with Seed & Sprout’s mission and values.

Reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer with preferrably located within 1 hour of our Byron Bay office but open to flexible, hybrid working. This role is a project based, contract position which may be either part time or full time.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with the ability to provide practical advice and support to leaders and team members.
• Strong knowledge of HR Policies and Labor and Employment Law, including experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
• Proven capability in Employee Relations, including handling workplace issues, supporting conflict resolution, and promoting a positive team environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and supporting performance management and development processes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Interest in sustainability and alignment with Seed & Sprout’s mission to support plastic-free and environmentally conscious living.
