Job Description
HCR Permanent Search is recruiting on behalf of a Canadian‑based manufacturing employer for a corporate Human Resources role in the automotive manufacturing sector. This is located near Woodstock ON. Position Title Human Resources Generalist Position Summary We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Human Resources Generalist to support the HR Director and oversee corporate HR operations.
This role provides leadership to the HR team, including the HR Coordinator and Recruitment Specialist Marketing , and ensures HR strategies align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with employment legislation. Key Responsibilities Lead full‑cycle recruitment , onboarding, and workforce planning. Provide direction and leadership to HR team members.
Oversee HRIS Plex , attendance systems, and general HR administration. Manage performance management programs and employee engagement initiatives. Counsel employees and leaders on HR policies and employment matters.
Support workplace investigations and ensure compliance with legislation including ESA, AODA, OHSA, WSIA, and the Human Rights Code. Develop and analyze HR metrics to inform decision‑making. Lead HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Maintain strict confidentiality and advise leadership on HR risks. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field. CHRP designation or actively working toward CHRP. 3 to 5 years of progressive HR management experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive.
Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation. Experience with HRIS and ATS systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working Conditions Office‑based role with occasional plant visits. CSA safety footwear and eyewear required when in production areas. HCR Permanent Search is recruiting on behalf of our client for an existing vacancy within their organization.
