HR Generalist | Windsor, ON | $70,000 - 75,000 About the Role Our client is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support HR operations across three local manufacturing sites, four shifts, and approximately 205 employees, including 25 salaried employees. This role will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the President, management team, and employees. The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist experience, manufacturing exposure, ADP familiarity, and working knowledge of Ontario employment standards.
Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, offers, onboarding, and hiring support across all sites. Partner with management on employee relations, performance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, and general HR guidance. Support health and safety, compliance, WSIB claims, employee documentation, and workplace policies.
Serve as a backup for weekly payroll processing when needed, supporting payroll for 205 employees across three sites. Maintain employee records, HR documentation, compliance files, and updates within ADP. Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, attendance, leaves, workplace concerns, and ESA-related matters.
Attend and support company events, including job fairs, team lunches, and employee engagement activities. Work closely with the CFO and President on HR priorities, workforce needs, reporting, and employee matters. Qualifications 3 to 5 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Familiarity with ADP. Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act. Experience with recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, terminations, and HR administration.
Experience with WSIB, health and safety, and compliance. Comfortable supporting multiple sites, shifts, and employee groups. Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
