Job Description
The Human Resource Manager leads the daily operations of the Human Resource department: overseeing recruitment and hiring, employee relations, pay and benefits administration, compliance, and organizational policy, while also serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational culture. This role directly supervises the HR Generalist and HR Intern, and partners closely with department managers across CRCI to build a compliant, mission-aligned, and well-supported workforce. The HR Manager also provides first-tier support for CRCI's front desk, phone systems, and technology needs, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the organization.
Education & Experience
-Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
-Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management capacity
-Experience in a nonprofit, ministry, or human services setting strongly preferred
-PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC requirements
-Experience administering payroll, benefits, and time-and-attendance systems
-Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
-Comfortable serving as first-tier support for basic IT, phone systems, and office technology
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus) and standard office software (Microsoft Office or equivalent)
-Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Other Requirements-Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
