At M.INTERIOR, we’re expanding with bigger projects and larger teams to fuel our mission. We need a professional designer who can help support the consistency and quality of our design work as the studio scales.
You are responsible for translating design intent into clear, buildable outcomes through disciplined drawing production, material logic, and consistent follow-through from concept to site, while communicating clearly with internal teams to ensure alignment and accuracy throughout the design process. This role is suited for a designer who takes ownership of their work, respects process, and is committed to producing reliable, well-considered design outcomes.

How to succeed in this roleThe Role & Responsibilities
Design Development & ExecutionDesign Intent SupportAssist senior designers in translating approved design intent into accurate, buildable drawings, ensuring alignment with spatial strategy, material logic, and project constraints.Drawing & 3D ProductionPrepare and maintain CAD drawings and 3D models required for design development, coordination, and construction, including plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.Material & Moodboard DevelopmentSupport the preparation of mood boards and material references, developing a clear understanding of materials, finishes, fittings, and hardware through engagement with vendors and suppliers, and ensuring selections align with approved design intent, availability, and practical application.Detail DocumentationProduce clear and coordinated construction detail drawings that support execution on site, with attention to junctions, tolerances, buildability, and material transitions.Drawing Accuracy & Site AlignmentReview site conditions and construction feedback to ensure drawings remain accurate and updated, reflecting on-site realities without deviating from approved design intent.Design Production CoordinationEnsure all drawings and documentation required for the design team’s production workflow are completed accurately, issued on time, and kept up to date through revisions.Quality & Standards ControlMaintain drawing standards, file organisation, naming conventions, and documentation clarity to ensure consistency and reliability across all design outputs.
What you’ll need to succeedSkills & Qualifications
Technical SkillsCAD Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate and detailed drawings.Detailed Design Plans: Produce comprehensive and detailed working drawings that outline all aspects of the design including floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed construction drawings that follow industry standards.3D Modeling and Visualization: Utilize CAD software to develop 3D models and visualizations that provide a realistic representation of the designed spaces to clients, contractors and the design team.Material Specifications: Compile detailed specifications for materials, finishes, and furnishings including all necessary information for procurement and installation.Collaborative Revisions: Work closely with the design team, clients, and contractors to update and revise technical documents as needed and ensure that all stakeholders have access to the most current plans.
Qualifications:Proven experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of residential and commercial projects and detailed construction drawings.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, etc.Proficiency in interpreting design specifications and quotations.Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to stakeholders.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.Flexibility to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing client needs and timelines.
