RMS USA is a leading toy innovator of on-trend toys, games, and arts & crafts products based in North Andover, Massachusetts. With overseas offices managing sourcing and quality control, RMS has brought high-quality toys to families around the world for more than 40 years.
Our products can be found at major retailers including Walmart, Target, Five Below, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Amazon, and through an expanding network of international distributors and retail partners. As we continue to grow globally, we're looking for an experienced International Sales Manager to help expand our presence across Canada, Central America, and South America.
Position Overview
RMS USA is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven International Sales Manager to lead sales growth across Canada, Central America, and South America. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing distributor and retail relationships, identifying market trends, and executing strategies that grow RMS's international footprint.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with a passion for international business, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced consumer products environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute international sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals across assigned territories.
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, buying groups, and key customers throughout Canada, Central America, and South America.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand RMS products into new countries, retailers, and distribution channels.
- Negotiate pricing, programs, and contracts while ensuring profitable growth.
- Prepare annual sales plans, forecasts, and territory budgets.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, consumer preferences, and economic conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality teams to support successful product launches and customer programs.
- Coordinate customer presentations, line reviews, trade show meetings, and business reviews.
- Manage customer forecasts, inventory planning, and promotional initiatives.
- Travel extensively throughout assigned territories to visit customers, attend trade shows, and strengthen business relationships.
- Represent RMS at international trade shows and industry events.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM data, customer records, and pipeline reporting.
- Ensure compliance with export requirements, international shipping processes, and customer-specific documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of international sales experience, preferably within consumer products, toys, retail, or CPG.
- Proven success developing distributor relationships and growing international markets.
- Experience working with customers throughout Canada and Latin America preferred.
- Spanish fluency (spoken and written) strongly preferred; Portuguese is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into strategic action.
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and cultures.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50–60% based on business needs.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally.
