Job Description
eir business talent are currently seeking applicants for a Junior Service Change Management Analyst. This is a day rate contractposition located with our client in Cork. This is an hybrid role that requires 2 days onsite per week. This is an initial 5-month engagement.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Service Change Management Analyst to support the effective delivery and governance of IT and business service changes across the organisation. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating change requests, maintaining change records, supporting Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities, and ensuring changes are implemented in accordance with established IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Service Management, IT Operations, or ITIL-based governance within a structured and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end Change Management process, ensuring all Requests for Change (RFCs) are logged, tracked, and maintained accurately.
- Review change submissions for completeness and quality before progressing through approval workflows.
- Coordinate CAB meetings, prepare agendas, distribute documentation, and record meeting minutes.
- Maintain and publish change schedules and forward schedules of change.
- Monitor change progress and ensure updates are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in assessing change impact, risk, and implementation plans.
- Support change-related communications to internal teams, suppliers, and customers where required.
- Produce regular operational and management reports on change activity and performance.
- Track change success rates, failed changes, emergency changes, and other key performance indicators.
- Support post-implementation reviews (PIRs) and document lessons learned.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continual service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices, organisational policies, and governance standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Third-level qualification in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Understanding of IT Service Management concepts and operational processes.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management practices.
- Exposure to Change, Incident, Problem, or Service Request Management processes.
- Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, Freshservice, or similar platforms.
- ITIL Foundation certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working in a service desk, operations, support, or change coordination environment.
