Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Varicent (or similar Incentive Compensation Management software) and a proven ability to configure, customize, and support its production environment to meet business needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and business acumen to ensure seamless system performance and deliver value to stakeholders.
About The Role
- Varicent Configuration:
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of solutions within Varicent to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Optimize Varicent workflows, rules, calculations, and reporting to ensure efficient and accurate incentive compensation processes.
- Production Support:
- Provide ongoing support for Varicent production environments, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including data discrepancies, configuration errors, and user challenges.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analysis and Collaboration:
- Partner with business teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, HR) to understand incentive compensation goals and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct impact analysis for system changes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Support testing efforts, including unit testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Documentation and Training:
- Develop and maintain clear documentation for system configurations, workflows, and processes.
- Provide training and guidance to users on Varicent functionality and best practices.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Varicent or similar Incentive Compensation Management platforms.
- Proven experience in system configuration, implementation, and production support.
- Strong understanding of incentive compensation processes and related business functions (e.g., sales operations, financial reporting).
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD – $185,900 USD for eligible US locations. For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range is $108,000 CAD – $158,000 CAD.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
