About the Company
Our client is an international financial services firm that provides alternative investment solutions to their clients. They partner with private banks and asset management firms to provide bespoke products such as private equity funds, private credit, infrastructure funds etc. They are currently expanding and looking for a Legal and Compliance Manager to come onboard.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary legal advisor for all commercial and business operations, coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary.Ensure that the company's entities in the APAC region adhere to relevant laws and regulations, providing guidance on the regulatory impacts of business decisions.Monitor compliance with external regulations and internal policies.Build and maintain relationships with key regulatory bodies in APAC, acting as the main liaison for compliance risk management.Identify relevant laws and regulations, evaluate their impact, and implement effective controls.Oversee the rollout of a comprehensive compliance program across APAC countries.Collaborate with external compliance partners in various APAC locations.Identify, evaluate, and address significant compliance risks and issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in law or a related advanced qualification.Min 5 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance work ideally with a financial institution.Familiarity with relevant regulations throughout APAC.
