As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in managing claims, disputes, and litigation while proactively guiding operational teams to mitigate risks and strengthen project delivery.
This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact projects while working closely with national leadership and diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage claims, litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters across Canada Conduct claims assessments, investigations, and risk and liability analyses to support decision‑making Provide practical, timely legal advice to project teams throughout the project lifecycle Retain and instruct external counsel, experts, mediators, and arbitrators Draft, review, and interpret legal documentation and contracts Develop and implement strategies for dispute prevention and resolution, including delivering training Support business operations, including accounts receivable recovery efforts and shared services initiatives Collaborate with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, insurers, and external partners to protect business interests Qualifications Member in good standing of the Québec Bar Bilingual in French and English 2–4 years of relevant legal experience in private practice or in‑house Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and risk management capabilities in dispute resolution Ability to manage multiple priorities and high volumes of complex files Experience in litigation, claims, insurance, or professional liability (engineering/architecture considered an asset) Knowledge of contract lifecycles, project delivery models, and multidisciplinary environments is an asset Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders across diverse teams Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,800 - 130,800 MB & ON: $90,100 - 124,100 NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $89,200 - 118,500 Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
