Cana Consulting is partnering exclusively with a private investment firm. They are looking for a Legal Counsel (mid-level) to join the team, handling the private credit portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for banking & finance lawyers to join a hypergrowth, multi-strategy private investment firm. Role:Assist in the execution of private credit transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans, structured credit, and special situations financing.Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation (e.g., term sheets, facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents).Coordinate with external legal counsel on due diligence, documentation, and closings.Support investment teams during deal structuring and credit committee preparation.Provide practical legal advice on regulatory, contractual, and transactional matters impacting private credit activities.Review internal documentation such as investment memos, compliance questionnaires, NDAs, and other supporting documents.Assist with ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies and credit exposures. Requirements:Called to Singapore Bar. 3–5 years PQE from a recognized law firm or reputable in-house legal team.Strong exposure to banking & finance, leveraged finance, private credit, or structured lending matters.Solid understanding of facility documentation, security structuring, and cross-border transaction frameworks.Commercial mindset with the ability to provide clear, solutions-driven advice.Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player.
