Legal or Senior Legal Counsel - Construction Disputes

Our client is a global construction company, recognised for undertaking some of the most significant projects across Australia.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide strategic and commercial advice in respect of large scale and complex projects. This role is to join a busy and dynamic in‑house team involved in:

• disputes and litigation
• regulatory investigations and inquiries
• claims prevention
• post‑completion design and construction claims
• board and stakeholder reporting
• the procurement and management of external legal advisors

Requirements

The successful candidate will have between 5 - 10 years' post admission experience, having gained experience in disputes. Ideally you will have worked in either a reputable firm or in‑house legal team. Key requirements include:

• excellent written and oral communication skills
• a strong corporate acumen
• risk assessment and risk mitigation skills
• an ability and desire to work as part of a team
• a proven ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
• an enthusiastic and pro‑active attitude
