JOB TITLE: Medical Device Machine Operator – Cardiovascular (1st Shift)

COMPENSATION: $25.50 per hour (Non-Exempt | Overtime paid at Time and a Half / $38.25 per hour)

SCHEDULE: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Monday – Friday

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and precision-driven Medical Device Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will work within a collaborative manufacturing cell (including controlled cleanroom environments) to produce high-quality, life-saving cardiovascular medical devices. You will perform intricate mechanical and electronic assembly, operate specialized machinery, conduct quality testing, and maintain exact product documentation per standardized procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform detailed assembly, repair, and test operations on cardiovascular medical devices and components following strict, documented standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Work with delicate parts under microscopes using specialized tools, including hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, and adhesive bonding agents.
• Operate, clean, and maintain specialized manufacturing and computerized test equipment per documented instructions.
• Conduct precise visual inspections and technical measurements on components and completed assemblies to ensure zero-defect quality.
• Complete and maintain accurate travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents to ensure total parts traceability and compliance.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials in designated hazardous waste areas per environmental safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with supervisors and leads to manage inventory levels, request material replenishment, and resolve production line constraints promptly.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to optimize cell performance, output metrics, and profitability.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitary, and compliant with facility health and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, or medical device production required.
• Manual Dexterity: Exceptional fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to maneuver and assemble small, intricate components.
• Language & Math Skills: Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and speak English effectively (minimum 6th-grade level) to follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions. Strong basic math skills required.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and the ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and specialized software packages.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to prioritize work sequencing based on job precedence and make sound quality judgments with minimal supervision.
• Compliance: Willingness to adhere strictly to safety rules, cleanroom gowning procedures, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
