Machine Operator Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating production machinery, performing quality inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring finished products meet company standards. The ideal candidate has machine setup experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and configure machinery according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
- Operate production equipment independently while monitoring performance and product quality.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and identify defects throughout the production process.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency.
- Unload finished products and palletize materials for shipping or storage.
- Complete and maintain accurate production documentation, notes, and reports.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Experience operating and setting up manufacturing machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with automotive or machine troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and work orders.
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks and identify product defects.
- Must successfully pass a skills assessment test.
- 12-hour shifts
- Shift start times: 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be available to work a 5-day schedule when business demands require it.
- All new hires will begin training on 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
- After training, employees will transition to 3rd Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) based on business needs and candidate placement.
- Training duration may extend to one month or longer, particularly for positions in Knitting and Weaving operations in Cranston.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
