Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Lead revenue recognition treatments across diverse scenarios and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Manage project costing frameworks and working capital optimization for the business
- Serve as a strategic business partner, providing financial insights and addressing accounting queries
- Oversee accounts receivable monitoring, including DSO calculations, retention tracking, write-offs, and credit note issuance
- Maintain effective controls and compliance environment aligned with SOX certification requirements
- Drive working capital management strategies for the business line
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings
- Execute account reconciliations, ledger close activities, and balance sheet reconciliations (unbilled, deferred revenue, vendor advances, AP)
- Provide accurate financial data and analysis to support management decision-making
- Develop and implement new processes for risk analysis and internal controls
- Share best practices and drive initiatives across REMS finance stakeholders
- Oversee and mentor a team of 3-5 finance professionals
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of progressive experience in revenue recognition, project costing, financial reporting, and statutory compliance
- Prior experience in real estate/construction industry is advantageous but not mandatory
- Proven track record managing small teams in a manager or team lead capacity
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and management accounting practices (US MNC experience preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence across all organizational levels, including senior leadership
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Process-oriented mindset with passion for standardization and consolidation of finance functions
- Self-starter with strong work ethic, positive attitude, and can do approach
- Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects efficiently under deadlines
- Team player who promotes collaborative relationships across diverse, multicultural teams
- Culturally sensitive with ability to navigate different nationalities effectively
