Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee the timely and accurate execution of end-to-end payroll delivery processes across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local statutory regulations, internal controls, and global governance expectations.
- Review and approve payroll calculations, conduct gross to net validations, and drive detailed analysis to safeguard accuracy and control effectiveness.
- Partner with internal stakeholders—including People Services, Total Rewards Operations, Global Mobility and Equity Tax, Payroll Accounting, and HR Business Partners—to ensure a connected and transparent payroll ecosystem.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Strategic Payroll Partners and in‑country vendors, managing performance, service level agreements, and escalation handling.
- Define, communicate, and align payroll calendars with partners and business stakeholders to ensure coordination, readiness, and timely delivery.
- Review, monitor, and report on internal and external key performance indicators, using data insights to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the employee experience.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize payroll processes, standardize tools, enhance documentation, and streamline workflows in line with global best practices.
- Partner with HR Help through tiered escalation models to address and resolve employee payroll inquiries with empathy, accuracy, and accountability.
- Ensure payroll process documentation is maintained, updated, and evolves with system enhancements, regulatory changes, and organizational updates.
- Collaborate across Finance and People teams to support audits, compliance activities, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Contribute to the transformation of payroll operating models through adoption of digital, AI‑enabled, and data‑driven solutions that increase accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enhance global governance.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working in a multinational environment with exposure to complex organizational structures.
- Experience managing or supporting multi‑country payroll delivery with strong knowledge of payroll operations, statutory compliance, social security, and tax regulations.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting fundamentals, including payroll accounting and gross‑to‑net processes.
- Proficiency using payroll technology platforms, digital tools, and advanced Excel capabilities (data manipulation, formulas, pivot analyses).
- Experience managing third‑party payroll providers and monitoring vendor performance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills with the ability to interpret data, surface insights, and propose solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume operational environment while managing competing priorities with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management, collaboration, and navigating a matrixed global environment.
- Comfort working with digital tools, Artificial Intelligence platforms, and process automation technologies to streamline operations.
