Job Summary
The MICE Sales professional is responsible for driving revenue growth by generating and managing business for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). The role focuses on acquiring new corporate clients, developing strategic partnerships, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets through proactive business development activities. The incumbent will work closely with the operations team to ensure successful execution of events while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and acquire new corporate clients for MICE business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and client visits.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Generate business opportunities for meetings, conferences, incentive tours, corporate events, exhibitions, and group travel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event planners, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to promote MICE services.
- Prepare and present customized proposals, quotations, and event solutions based on client requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key corporate accounts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and proactive account management.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling of other travel services.
- Address client concerns promptly and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.
Market Development
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, networking events, exhibitions, and corporate meetings.
- Develop strategic partnerships to expand the company's presence in the Chennai market.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Operations, Ticketing, Visa, Finance, and Supplier Management teams for seamless service delivery.
- Ensure proper handover of confirmed events to the operations team.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Prepare weekly sales reports, forecasts, and business development updates for management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing or Sales is an added advantage).
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in MICE Sales, Corporate Sales, Travel Sales, or Hospitality Sales.
- Experience in handling corporate accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Existing corporate client network in Chennai will be an added advantage.
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong knowledge of MICE products and corporate travel services.
- Proven experience in business development and corporate sales.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and proposal preparation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Chennai and nearby regions for client meetings.
