Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team working on advanced engineering technologies across composites, technical ceramics, additive manufacturing, high-pressure systems, and custom industrial machinery.
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on design and problem-solving capabilities to work on the development of next-generation products, machines, and manufacturing systems. The candidate should be comfortable working on both conceptual and production-level designs for complex mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and custom machinery components.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Work on innovative projects involving:
- Advanced composites
- Technical ceramics
- High-pressure vessels and hydraulic systems
- Industrial automation and custom manufacturing equipment
- Additive manufacturing and tooling systems
- Perform mechanical calculations, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
- Coordinate with fabrication, machining, assembly, and production teams.
- Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvement activities.
- Participate in R&D activities and contribute innovative engineering solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong proficiency in CAD software such as:
- SolidWorks
- Fusion 360
- Inventor
- OnShape
Good understanding of:
- Manufacturing processes
- Sheet metal and machined part design
- Welding and fabrication
- Mechanical assemblies and mechanisms
- Material selection and engineering fundamentals
Ability to work independently on fast-paced development projects.
Strong analytical and practical engineering mindset.
Preferred Experience- Experience with industrial machinery, automation systems, composites, or high-pressure systems.
- Familiarity with FEA/simulation tools.
- Hands-on workshop or machine-building experience.
- Exposure to robotics, CNC systems, or additive manufacturing technologies is a plus.
