Wanted: Global Innovators to Help Us Build Tomorrow's Enterprise In this role the Middleware Administrator will manage and support enterprise-grade middleware platforms, including IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, JBoss (WildFly), IBM Tivoli Access Manager/WebSEAL, Apache HTTP Server, Nginx, and ForgeRock Identity & Access Management. The role focuses on ensuring these platforms are secure, highly available, scalable, and optimized for performance in both on-premises and hybrid environments. Daily tasks include installation, configuration, deployment, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting across application servers, web servers, and identity platforms.
Qualifications A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. 10 to 16 years of hands-on experience in enterprise middleware administration. Strong expertise in WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Apache, Nginx, IBM TAM/WebSEAL, and ForgeRock IAM. Middleware or vendor certifications are preferred.
Preferred Experience IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS/ND) Oracle WebLogic Server Red Hat JBoss / WildFly Apache HTTP Server and Nginx IBM TAM / WebSEAL ForgeRock (AM, IDM, IG) Hands-on skills in installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of these platforms. Architecture & Core Concepts Strong understanding of middleware architectures including domains, clusters, nodes, and cells for WebSphere/WebLogic. JVM tuning (heap, threads, garbage collection).
Connection pooling and session management. Reverse proxy, load balancing, and caching. Experience integrating web servers with application servers via plugins and connectors.
Performance Tuning & Monitoring Expertise in JVM tuning focusing on garbage collection and heap optimization. Skilled in analyzing thread dumps, heap dumps, and logs. Application performance diagnostics using tools such as IBM Tivoli, Instana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and native console monitoring tools.
Ability to identify bottlenecks and optimize response times. AppDynamics and Splunk for monitoring infra/application istances.s High Availability & Scalability Experience implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions. Clustering and load balancing with WebSphere ND, WebLogic clusters, and JBoss domains.
Failover configurations and session replication. Scaling web tiers using Apache and Nginx. Familiarity with reverse proxy and load balancer integration such asF5 and HAProxy .
Security & Identity Management Strong experience with IBM TAM/WebSEAL junction configurations. Knowledge of ForgeRock components including Access Management, Identity Gateway, and Identity Management. Familiarity with SSO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML protocols.
LDAP/Active Directory integration. SSL/TLS implementation, certificates, and keystore management. Role-based access control (RBAC) and authentication mechanisms.
Web Server & Proxy Technologies Expertise configuring Apache HTTP Server modules and virtual hosts. Skilled with Nginx for reverse proxy, routing, caching, and SSL termination. Experience with URL rewriting, routing, and load distribution.
Hands-on experience managing WebSEAL junctions. ITIL & Operations Working knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management. Experience in SLA-driven support environments, production support, and on-call rotations.
Documentation and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) updates. Troubleshooting & Problem Management Strong skills in troubleshooting middleware stack issues such as application failures, memory leaks, thread contention, server crashes, slow response, connectivity, and integration problems. Root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
Nice to Have Experience with middleware migration and upgrade projects, including on- premises to cloud transitions and version upgrades. Exposure to containerized middleware environments like OpenShift and Kubernetes. Familiarity with API gateways and microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and modern IAM architecture.
