MS Clinical Nurse Specialist

The NHS Fife Neurology service is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within the Multiple Sclerosis specialist nursing team. This role provides support and advice for patients and families affected by multiple sclerosis, and you will be part of a small, forward‑thinking team delivering and supporting holistic care to people of Fife.

Responsibilities

• Deliver support and advice to patients and families affected by MS.
• Participate in multi‑disciplinary team working in acute in‑patient settings, community hospitals, and wider community teams.
• Provide professional advice and expertise to colleagues within and beyond the acute setting.
• Work autonomously in specialist care, demonstrating initiative and problem‑solving skills.
• Ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and supports organisational objectives.
• Support and deliver holistic care to the people of Fife living with this illness.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in providing specialist care for Multiple Sclerosis patients.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exercise independent judgment.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care, service improvement and effective team working.
• Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom or eligibility for sponsorship.
