Demonstrates a caring approach which reflects and incorporates expertise.
Experience 2 years exp in Acute Psych or Comm. Mental Health nursing or a combo of the two. Exp in the last 5 years with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders Exp in the last 5 years in psychiatric assessment & intervention required Education Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Basic CPR, ASSIST preferred Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Competencies Advanced - Organizational skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Assessment skills Advanced - Planning skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in mental health assessment systems Knowledge of local human service organizations, resources & referral procedures Knowledge in mental health and mental illness across the life cycle Knowledge of human growth, development and human behavior Knowledge in client psychosocial living needs and interventions Ability to build and maintain effective relationships/partnerships Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website. #J-18808-Ljbffr
