Job Description
Role PurposeTo lead the entire HR function at the plant as a strategic partner to business, with balanced ownership across HR generalist areas and Industrial Relations, ensuring a productive, compliant, and engaged workforce while maintaining harmonious union relationships. Key Responsibilities HR Business Partnering (Plant)Act as a strategic HR partner to Plant Head and leadership teamAlign HR initiatives with production, cost, and efficiency goalsDrive organization culture, values, and leadership effectiveness at plant2. Industrial Relations & Union InterfaceMaintain stable relations with trade unions / worker representativesSupport and participate in wage settlements, negotiations, and agreementsHandle grievances, disciplinary cases, and domestic enquiriesEnsure a disturbance-free plant environment with minimal IR escalations3.
Talent Management & DevelopmentDrive manpower planning and budgetingLead hiring for plant roles (staff & workmen categories)Implement performance management systems (PMS)Identify and build succession pipeline for critical rolesDrive learning & development interventions for shop-floor and staff4. Employee Engagement & CultureDesign and implement employee engagement initiativesStrengthen communication channels between management & workforceImprove retention, morale, and productivity metrics5. HR Operations & SystemsOversee payroll inputs, attendance, leave managementEnsure proper HR MIS, documentation, and digitization initiativesDrive process improvements and HR automation where feasible6.
Statutory Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with all applicable laws:Factories ActIndustrial Disputes ActContract Labour ActPF, ESI, Bonus, GratuityGujarat labour regulationsHandle audits, inspections, and legal casesLiaise with government bodies and external stakeholders7. Contract Labour & Vendor ManagementManage contract workforce deployment and complianceEnsure contractor adherence to legal and company standards8.
