About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Client Manager to join a growing accountancy practice. This is a key role responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality service, and supporting the wider team in maintaining excellent standards. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring compliance work is delivered efficiently while identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Management & DeliveryManage a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contactPrepare and review year-end accounts and compliance work, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveryLead client meetings and calls, clearly explaining financial information and offering practical insightsBuild strong client relationships, maintaining a professional and solutions-focused approachHandle client queries efficiently and proactivelyAdvisory & Commercial SupportIdentify opportunities for tax planning and business advisory servicesSupport onboarding of new clients, including information gathering and setting expectationsWork collaboratively with internal teams, including an outsourced team overseasTechnical & SystemsWork confidently with TaxCalc for accounts and tax complianceMaintain accurate, well-organised client recordsUse cloud bookkeeping software and adapt to new technologies where requiredAbout YouEssential Skills & ExperienceACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experienceProven background in a UK accountancy practice managing client portfoliosStrong knowledge of accounts and compliance for SMEs and owner-managed businessesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearlyHighly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlinesTechnical SkillsExperience using TaxCalc (or the ability to become proficient quickly)Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting systemsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePension schemeHoliday allowance plus bank holidaysSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to take ownership of a client portfolio and develop advisory skillsEqual Opportunities This organisation is an equal opportunities employer.
