Principal Consultant, Strategy & Analytics

Cartesian is a specialist consulting firm that helps communications and digital media firms to identify opportunities, bring new products to market, and deliver outstanding customer experience. Cartesian is hiring an Analytics-Led Principal to help shape and grow our analytics-driven consulting capability within our UK strategy team. This role is for a senior consulting leader who believes that data and analytics are central to great strategy , not an afterthought. You’ll originate and lead analytics-heavy client work, partner with senior clients on complex decisions, and play a visible role in building analytics careers within the firm. You won’t be expected to do all the coding yourself — but you will be expected to be analytically credible, commercially minded, and confident owning analytics-led work end-to-end. This is a client-facing, revenue-generating role , with sales responsibility and performance-linked compensation. What you’ll be doing Leading high-impact, analytics-led consulting engagements from problem framing through to executive decision-making Translating ambiguous business questions into robust analytical approaches (e.g. MI, dashboards, modelling, insight generation) Acting as a senior client adviser on analytics-heavy work Originating, shaping, and selling analytics-led consulting opportunities Co-selling with Partners on major accounts and leading analytics-heavy proposals Building and codifying analytics consulting approaches and IP Mentoring and sponsoring analytics-leaning consultants and managers What we’re looking for 10–14 years’ experience in consulting, analytics, or data-driven roles Proven track record leading analytics-heavy consulting engagements Experience originating or selling client work Strong problem-framing skills and commercial judgment Ability to translate analytical insight into clear, compelling executive narratives Backgrounds we’re especially interested in: Analytics or data consulting Strategy consulting with a strong analytics spine Data/tech firms with significant client-facing consulting exposure Why Cartesian?
