• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
\n

Design Phase:

\n
• Responsible to design production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
\n
• Responsible to design detail layout of facilities, using suitable CAD software, determining capital and auxiliary equipment as well as system and personnel requirements both white and blue collar.
\n
• Responsible to implement cost control, labour, equipment and materials, system to capture production costs.
\n
• Provide training to production staff on new processes and systems.
\n
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers for preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
\n
• Manage process documentation and prepare production reports and KPIs such as labour productivity and OEE of equipment.
\n
• Assist the development and implementation ofquality control procedures and systems to ensure products meet customer specifications (SQCDP, APQP).
\n

Prototype Phase:

\n
• Responsible to conduct time and motion studies to map current state and identify areas for improvement in production processes.
\n
• Verify production flow and perform necessary adjustments.
\n
• Test cost capturing systems.
\n
• Verify MBOMs.
\n
• Apply KPIs and quality control procedures and systems.
\n

Serial Production & Improvement Phase:

\n
• Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for improvement and developing and implementing cost reduction strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with other engineers and managers to develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
\n
• Prepare reports and presentations on production data and KPIs.
\n

• QUALIFICATIONS
\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
\n
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
\n
• Knowledge in Manufacturing Process Design, Control and Improvements.
\n
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Ability to design and implement efficient production processes.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for the design of floor lay-outs.
\n
• Proficient in ERP Systems (preferably SAP).
\n
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies ( 5S, Lean tools, Value Stream Mapping; VSM) and Six Sigmamethodology is a plus.
\n
• Experience with labour and material cost capturing and analysing and cost control.
\n
• Ability to work in a team environment, cross-functional teams (Design of Lay-Outs, Value Stream Maps, Lean Projects).
\n
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
\n
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control is a plus.
