About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Equity Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Corporate team in London.
The team advises private equity sponsors, institutional investors and corporate clients across the full spectrum of private equity and M&A transactions. The practice is particularly recognised for its work on: Private M&A transactions Leveraged buyouts Joint ventures Co-investments Secondary transactions GP-led transactions Corporate and investment structuring This role offers significant client exposure, responsibility for leading transactions, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-value domestic and international deals. Responsibilities Lead and manage private equity transactions, reporting directly to partners where appropriate.
Draft, review and negotiate key transaction documentation. Advise clients on a broad range of private equity and corporate matters. Manage transaction processes from inception through to completion.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal advice. Supervise and mentor junior lawyers. Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams on complex cross-border matters.
Keep up to date with legal and market developments affecting the private equity sector. Contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth of the practice. Qualifications Approximately 5–10 years' PQE (or equivalent).
Strong private equity and corporate M&A experience gained at a leading law firm. Extensive experience drafting and negotiating equity documentation, including investment agreements and articles of association. Excellent technical legal skills and commercial judgement.
Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple transactions and meet demanding deadlines. Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
