Job Description:
To lead product development, technical excellence, and aftermarket performance across existing and new product categories, ensuring customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, and sustainable growth.
Scope of Role:Product responsibility extends beyond current core portfolio (oil seals, belts,etc.) to include new product categories and expansion opportunitiesStrong interface between product, market, and customer requirementsOwnership of product financial and business viability, lifecycle, performance, and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development & Lifecycle ManagementDrive new product development (NPD) based on market needs and business strategyExpand product portfolio beyond current categoriesEnsure first and faster time-to-market and commercial viabilityWork closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, sourcing, sales, supply chain)2. Technical Support & Customer InterfaceProvide end-to-end technical support to customers, distributors, and internal teamsLead field complaint handling and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Conduct on-site visits for critical issues and ensure timely resolutionBuild strong customer confidence through technical expertise3. Technical Sales SupportSupport sales team in technical discussions, product positioning, and application engineeringDevelop technical documents, catalogues, and product manualsParticipate in customer meetings to unlock new business opportunities4. Product Performance & BenchmarkingMonitor product performance in aftermarket conditionsConduct competitive benchmarking and identify improvement areasDrive continuous product enhancement and cost optimization5. Training & Capability BuildingConduct technical training programs for dealers, mechanics, and internal teamsEnsure continuous knowledge upgrade on new technologies and product innovations
