Production Planning Specialist, Itapetininga

As a Production Planning Specialist, you will play a key role at the Itapetininga Plant. In this role you will be responsible for managing production planning and ordering process, including setting parameters as well as capacity and material planning for assigned products and production lines ensuring required service levels are met while minimizing inventory.

The impact you will make in this role

• Planning and Scheduling of Production Orders.
• Managing exceptions (materials, capacity) and determining how best to resolve constraints to balance service, inventory, and cost in the best interest of the supply chain.
• Optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between inventory and service. Collaborating and sharing inventory, service and cost trade-off curves with the businesses served (locally and in other regions) to ensure target service levels are set appropriately.
• Ensuring accurate requirements to upstream and downstream operations, including outside plants.
• Managing Capacity in the short, median and long term. Identifying, resolving and escalating production constraints.
• Working closely with the Supply Planners to determine how best to resolve supply constraints in 3M plants.
• Executing the Production Planning global process standards with regard to NWI.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
• Experience in Production Planning
• Language: Intermediate English or Higher
• Analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, Minitab, etc.)

• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills

Work Location

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M plant in Itapetininga.
