Job Description
Overview
QC Team Leader – Bray, Ireland. Fully onsite, full-time position in the Quality Control Department with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the QC lab complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Implement and maintain GLP/cGMP standards aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Provide leadership for a team of QC analysts/technicians, including performance management and execution of business processes to a high standard.
- Support the team to achieve company and department goals; inspire engagement and guide staff to maintain high productivity.
- Maintain safety, cGMP, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Planning, and Shipping to deliver quality service and meet target release dates and compliance standards.
- Recruitment, training, discipline, and conducting appraisals for QC staff.
- Investigate non-conformances, instrument malfunctions, accidents, or other abnormal occurrences.
- Validate, operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
- Approve relevant QC documentation; support major projects, quality plans, and continuous improvement programs.
- Prepare for and support external audits (HPRA, FDA, corporate, client).
- Maintain safety standards to ensure a safe laboratory environment.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe laboratory; identify and implement new QC technologies.
- Maintain validated status of LIMS/Empower and other relevant systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Support Annual Product Reviews; act as designee for the QC Department Head in their absence.
Educational Requirements
BSc (minimum) in science or a related discipline.
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an analytical laboratory, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Technical experience in GC and/or HPLC analysis.
- Experience with continuous improvement plans within the QC environment.
- Experience managing, motivating, and leading a team of analysts.

Location: Bray, Ireland | Base salary range: €57,800.00 – €79,420.00.
