Regional Commercial Excellence Manager, North & East India

We are seeking an experienced professional to play a key role in supporting sales and commercial teams through data-driven insights, market analysis, and strategic execution. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop growth strategies, optimize market performance, and strengthen customer engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Business Insights
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sales teams on data, reporting, and analytical requirements.
- Provide actionable insights through the use of internal and external market data sources.
- Develop dashboards, performance reports, and business analysis to support decision-making and drive growth.
Strategic Planning & Market Development
- Create comprehensive growth strategies based on consumer, customer, and market insights.
- Develop and execute portfolio, channel, and distribution strategies to enhance market presence and business performance.
- Identify growth opportunities and recommend actions to improve revenue, distribution, and market share.
Trade & Customer Marketing Execution
- Partner with sales, marketing, and commercial teams to build and implement annual and quarterly activity plans.
- Support the development and execution of promotional campaigns, trade initiatives, customer engagement programs, and in-market activation plans.
- Plan and optimize investment allocations to maximize return on commercial initiatives.
Program Management
- Drive the execution and effectiveness of retail, wholesale, and channel-focused programs.
- Monitor performance metrics and recommend corrective actions to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure alignment of commercial activities with overall business goals and market requirements.
Required Qualifications
- MBA from a reputed business school or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience within the FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or a related industry.
- Proven experience in sales leadership, territory management, channel management, or customer development roles.
- Strong understanding of general trade, wholesale operations, distribution management, and route-to-market strategies.
- Experience utilizing market research and syndicated data to develop business recommendations and growth plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in trade marketing at regional or national levels.
- Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in interpreting business and market data.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across sales, marketing, and commercial functions.
- Experience designing and implementing customer-focused growth initiatives and promotional programs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project execution skills.
