Remote Bookkeeper for a Financial Company in the US (Home Based Part Time)

• Log all transactions into QuickBooks Online • Prepare and submit monthly (or at minimum quarterly) financial statements including general ledger and balance sheet • Liaise with accountant regarding any miscategorizations or account adjustments • Process payroll for five employees across three companies using Paychecks platform on the 1st and 15th of each month • File payroll taxes and 1099s with the IRS • Respond to accountant requests via email • Maintain the general ledger and update on an ongoing basis • Participate in initial knowledge transfer with outgoing bookkeeper (2–3 days) during the first week
