Remote Legal Counsel for Compliance

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Counsel - REMOTE. In this role, you will provide strategic legal guidance on crucial matters such as data governance, privacy, and cybersecurity for our client's Managed Service Organization.

You will be at the forefront of ensuring that sensitive health information is handled with the utmost care and in compliance with applicable regulations. Collaborating with multiple teams, you will help shape the operational landscape while managing risks in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Accountabilities

• Serve as lead counsel for MSO data governance and privacy matters.
• Advise MSO business units on privacy and security requirements.
• Draft and negotiate privacy and security contractual terms.
• Collaborate with security and technology teams to support MSO needs.
• Lead incident preparedness and response for legal support.
• Support governance and board reporting related to privacy.
• Establish strong relationships with MSO stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 9 years of experience as a practicing lawyer.
• Expertise in cybersecurity and data governance regulations.
• Law degree from an accredited institution and bar admission.
• Ability to supervise outside legal counsel.
• Strong decision-making and risk management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant tools.
