We are exclusively partnered with a UK headquartered Alternative Asset Manager in supporting their search for a Senior Business Development Professional to join their Distribution function. Their investment offering spans discretionary and systematic approaches, including global macro, equity long/short, quantitative and multi-strategy solutions. After a period of sustained success and AUM growth our client is aiming to continue its growth trajectory by expanding its already successful Business Development team.
Key attributes: 8–15 years of experience in institutional sales, capital raising, or investor relations within the hedge fund space Demonstrable track record of raising assets from institutional investors, family offices, private banks, wealth managers, endowments, foundations, or pension funds. Deep understanding of the hedge fund investment landscape, including discretionary, quantitative, macro & equity long/short. Established and active network of investor relationships that can be leveraged to generate fundraising opportunities.
Proven ability to originate, develop, and convert prospective investor relationships into committed capital. Evidence of consistent revenue generation and asset-raising success over multiple market cycles. Commercially driven with a natural fundraising mindset and a passion for business development.
Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. Comfortable representing sophisticated investment strategies to experienced institutional allocators and investment professionals. Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across key investor markets, including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and/or North America.
Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify emerging fundraising opportunities, prioritise key markets, and contribute to the firm's long-term asset growth objectives.
