We are an authorised agent/distributor of several reputable product brands, actively serving the local Oil & Gas refineries, marine, petrochemical, power plants and general industries. Exion Asia is also a leader in repair for valves, rotating equipment and instruments.
We have expertise to provide workshop servicing, on-site commissioning and troubleshooting across Asia together with our subsidiaries and associate companies in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and China.
About the RoleExion Asia is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to drive growth in our instrumentation business. This role combines technical knowledge with commercial execution to deliver measurement and control solutions to customers across key process industries.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sales strategies aligned with the division’s business objectives and growth roadmap.Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts to achieve sales targets.Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to support pricing strategies and commercial decisions.Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on customer specifications and project requirements.Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities in instrumentation supply, maintenance, calibration, and retrofit services.Understand customer processes and operational challenges to propose effective technical and commercial solutions.Deliver professional product and solution presentations in collaboration with principals and partners.Maintain and report on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and growth opportunities.Actively contribute to sales initiatives and team-based business development efforts.
Requirements (Must Have)Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience in measurement instruments (e.g., flow, pressure, temperature, level, analytical instruments).Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Good command of written and spoken English.Valid Class 3 driving licence and willingness to travel for client visits.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)Established relationships with clients in Jurong Island, pharmaceutical, or chemical sectors.Experience working with EPC contractors, system integrators, or end users in process industries.Familiarity with calibration, servicing, or lifecycle management of instrumentation.Basic understanding of control systems, PLC/SCADA environments, or industrial automation.Experience in tendering, project sales, or contract negotiations.
