Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive, target-driven Sales Officer to manage and grow sales within the assigned territory. The role involves distributor management, general trade execution, and driving both primary and secondary sales. The ideal candidate will have hands-on FMCG sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales and market share growth for beverage products in the assigned territory
Manage General Trade outlets and distributor network
Ensure achievement of primary and secondary sales targets
Act as the main point of contact for existing and potential customers
Identify local market opportunities and address on-ground challenges
Present company products and schemes to retailers and distributors
Build strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key accounts
Work closely with internal sales teams to meet individual and team targets
Recommend product solutions based on customer needs and cross-sell where applicable
Track daily sales activities and submit regular reports using sales tracking tools
Ensure proper product visibility, availability, and execution in the market
Requirements
Requirements
1 to 3 years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably beverages
Experience in managing distributors and general trade
Strong understanding of primary and secondary sales
Ability to identify business opportunities at the local level
Proficiency in sales reporting and basic tracking tools
Qualifications & Skills
Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
Good knowledge of FMCG/Beverage sales operations
Understanding of basic marketing and B2C sales tactics
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Prior retail sales experience will be an added advantage
