Team members are encouraged to contribute ideas, participate in ongoing learning, and help build supportive environments for students on the autism spectrum and other diverse learners.Role Description The School Counselor will provide individualized and group counseling services to students, with a particular focus on supporting neurodiverse learners, including autistic students. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Hyderabad Area involves conducting assessments, designing counseling plans, and implementing interventions that promote emotional well-being, social skills, and academic success. The counselor will collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address behavioral and learning challenges, facilitate referrals to external services when needed, and contribute to individualized education or support plans.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, delivering psychoeducation workshops for students and caregivers, and participating in school-wide initiatives that foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment. The role also involves staying current with best practices in school counseling and autism-related research and applying these insights to everyday work.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Student Counseling and general Counseling to support learners with diverse academic, social, and emotional needs.Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to guide students in educational planning, career exploration, and transitions to higher education or vocational pathways.Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Psychology and Mental Health to assess student needs, implement appropriate interventions, and recognize when specialized support or referrals are required.Relevant academic qualifications such as a master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.Professional certifications or registrations in counseling or mental health practice, where applicable, and experience working with children, adolescents, or neurodiverse populations.Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and external professionals.Demonstrated commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices and sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic diversity.Ability to work on-site in the Greater Hyderabad Area, manage a full-time caseload, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
